    Jackie is an experienced educator with over a decade of teaching kindergarten through 5th grade in NYC schools. As an ESL teacher and District 15 Model Teacher, she supported multilingual learners and mentored colleagues with innovative strategies.

    Skilled in Orton-Gillingham and Fundations, Jackie specializes in helping children build strong reading foundations. She has written literacy and math curricula and is passionate about the science of reading.

    In 2016, Jackie launched a successful tutoring business, combining her expertise and dedication to help students excel academically and develop a love for learning.

    Kate is an energetic educator with a wealth of teaching experience. She holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Elementary Education.

    Kate spent over seven years teaching first and second grade at a public school in Brooklyn, where she also mentored teachers in the CAMBA after-school program, helping design engaging literacy lessons. Now in her fifth year teaching fourth grade at a Brooklyn charter school, Kate excels at connecting with students, supporting diverse learners, and fostering a love of reading through book recommendations and student book clubs.

    Meet Kiera: A passionate educator with over six years of experience.

    She earned her degree in Elementary Education and Applied Psychology from Boston College, then taught for four years in a 3rd grade integrated co-taught classroom in New York. Motivated by her diverse learners, she pursued a Master’s in Childhood Special Education at Bank Street College of Education.

    Now a 2nd grade teacher in NYC Public Schools, Kiera fosters student-centered, equitable learning environments, emphasizing meaningful relationships and a love for learning. She’s trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach to reading and incorporates her expertise to support literacy development.

    Outside the classroom, Kiera has experience as a nanny, tutor, and camp counselor. In her free time, she enjoys running, reading on the beach, and creating charcuterie boards.

    Meet Lauren: Experienced Educator and Curriculum Specialist

    Lauren is an energetic and passionate educator with 12 years of experience in General Education, ICT, and gifted programs. A tenured teacher with the NYC Department of Education since 2017, she holds a Bachelor's in Elementary Education from Indiana University and a Master’s in Educational Psychology from Hunter College.

    With over 9 years of private tutoring experience, Lauren has worked with children from Pre-K through 5th grade, specializing in science and integrating Social Emotional Learning (SEL) to build students' confidence and critical thinking skills.

    Lauren recently transitioned from the DOE to focus on curriculum writing for companies like Pearson and continue her private tutoring work in Westchester. She is committed to breaking down barriers and closing achievement gaps, creating an environment where every student can thrive academically and personally.

    Meet Haley: A compassionate educator with ten years of experience in NYC

    Haley holds a degree in English and Childhood Development from Virginia Tech and a Master’s in Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education. She began her career as a 2013 Teach for America corps member and has since taught both first and fourth grade.

    Haley is skilled in Wilson Fundations, Cognitively Guided Instruction, Illustrative Math, and Teachers College Reading and Writing. She has also served as a Mentor Teacher, coaching colleagues in lesson design and instructional strategies.

    Haley is passionate about building personal connections with students and empowering them to reach their full potential. Outside of teaching, she enjoys reading, exploring new bakeries, and traveling.

    Meet Emily: A passionate and creative early childhood educator

    Emily holds a degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Carolina and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Education at Hunter College. With five years of experience teaching first grade, along with additional work across Kindergarten to third grade, she has spent over four years as a head classroom teacher. Emily focuses on building strong foundational skills in reading, writing, and math, believing these are key to setting students up for lifelong success.

    She is trained in guided reading, Fountas and Pinnell, and multi-sensory phonics instruction. Additionally, Emily has three years of experience as a professional tutor, providing one-on-one and small-group support to students.

    Shelly is passionate about fostering language and cognitive development in young learners. She holds a Bachelor’s in Hearing and Speech Sciences from the University of Maryland and is pursuing her Master’s in Communicative Sciences and Disorders at NYU to become an ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist.

    With experience as a school enrichment counselor, research assistant, and volunteer literacy tutor, Shelly combines hands-on learning with expertise in language acquisition and communication.

    In her free time, Shelly enjoys exploring Manhattan, discovering new coffee spots, and relaxing on New Jersey beaches.

    Amanda is a dynamic children’s theatre performer, puppeteer, and educator with years of professional experience working with young children. A graduate of SUNY Fredonia with a degree in Theatre Arts, Amanda has combined her love of performing and teaching throughout her career.

    She has toured the Northeast with Children's Stage Adventures, directing and performing musicals with children aged 5-14. Since moving to NYC, Amanda has brought her talents to New York Kids Club and Preschool, teaching enrichment classes in gymnastics, dance, STEAM, and more.

    Amanda leads engaging early childhood music, language, and sensory classes, skillfully introducing foundational academic concepts in fun and memorable ways.

With degrees in Elementary Education, Special Education, and Literacy from Geneseo and Columbia University’s Teachers College, she is skilled at tailoring lessons to meet the needs of learners at all levels.

    Brianne believes in building strong connections with students to inspire a love of learning. Whether matching readers with their next favorite book or making math fun through real-world problem-solving, she helps students grow with confidence.
