Jaclyn
Founder & Literacy Specialist
Jaclyn Rosenberg is a literacy specialist and the founder of Wise Owl, a premier literacy enrichment company dedicated to making learning both joyful and effective. She holds a Master’s degree in Education and brings over 16 years of experience to her work.
Jaclyn has taught elementary grades and served as a literacy specialist in New York City schools. Since 2020, she has led preschool pods, creating nurturing, literacy-rich environments that support early learners. She has also written curricula tailored to diverse student needs and coached fellow educators in best practices grounded in the science of reading.
Shelly
Speech Pathologist, MS, CF-SLP TSSLD
Early Childhood Literacy Tutor and Speech Teacher
Shelly is an early childhood educator and aspiring speech-language pathologist, currently earning her Master’s at NYU. With a background in Hearing and Speech Sciences from the University of Maryland, she has experience in literacy tutoring, language research, and enrichment programs. Her interests include language development and neurogenic disorders. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring the city, traveling, and beach days in New Jersey.
Julia

Early, Elementary and Special Education Tutor
Julia is an educator with 18 years of experience in literacy and special education. She’s a reading specialist trained in Orton-Gillingham and has taught K-3. Julia also supports teachers as a literacy coach, focusing on inclusive and engaging literacy instruction.
Amanda

Amanda is a children’s theatre performer and educator with a Theatre Arts degree from SUNY Fredonia. She has taught and performed with kids across the Northeast and now leads music and enrichment classes for young children in NYC.
Brianne

Elementary Education Tutor
Brianne is an experienced and empathetic NYC educator with 11 years teaching general and special education. She studied Elementary and Special Education, English Literature, and Literacy. Brianne focuses on building strong student relationships and making learning meaningful. A lifelong reader, she loves connecting students with books and making math fun through real-life problem solving. Outside school, she enjoys exploring bookstores and pizza spots around the city.
Kate
Gen/Special Ed; M.S.
Elementary Education Tutor
Kate is a passionate and experienced educator with a background in Elementary Education from James Madison University. She began her teaching career in Thailand before moving to Brooklyn, where she spent seven years teaching first and second grade at a public school and mentoring teachers in the CAMBA after-school program. Currently in her fifth year teaching fourth grade at a Brooklyn charter school, Kate enjoys supporting young readers through book clubs and personalized recommendations. She values student connection, inclusive teaching, and adapting curriculum to meet diverse learning needs. Outside the classroom, she enjoys reading, traveling, museums, and exploring Prospect Park.
Robin
Robin holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Syracuse University and a master’s in Early Childhood/Special Education from Bank Street College of Education. She has taught in a range of early childhood classrooms—from private 1st-grade settings to a therapeutic nursery school—giving her a well-rounded understanding of diverse learners.
For the past eight years, Robin has worked one-on-one with children ages 3–8, specializing in literacy development and supporting those with challenges in reading, writing, and language acquisition.
As both an educator and a mom to a child with dyslexia and ADHD, Robin brings both expertise and empathy to her work. She’s passionate about early intervention and dedicated to helping each child thrive—academically, emotionally, and beyond.
Kelly
With extensive experience in early childhood and elementary education, Kelly has taught in diverse classroom settings, specializing in literacy intervention, phonics instruction, and integrated co-teaching. She is well-versed in research-based approaches, including the Wilson Fundations Program and the Reggio Emilia philosophy. Her work emphasizes individualized, assessment-based instruction to support children at all levels of literacy development.Kelly joined Wise Owl Learning NY to provide expert, engaging, and personalized literacy support for young students. She believes in creating joyful, confidence-boosting learning experiences that empower children to become lifelong readers and learners.
