Why choose a Private Pod?

You want the best for your child's development, and so do we. Our Private Pods extend the core values of our successful toddler classes into an intimate setting, offering unparalleled benefits:

Truly individualized attention

Just like our small group classes, our low student-to-teacher ratio remains a cornerstone. This ensures your child receives the focused attention they need to flourish.

Tailored curriculum, just for your pod

Imagine a curriculum that adapts to the specific interests and developmental stages of the children in your pod. Our experienced educators will thoughtfully design activities to maximize engagement and learning for each child.

Familiar and comfortable environment

By hosting the pod in a chosen home, your toddler learns in a secure and familiar space, fostering confidence and reducing anxiety.

Strengthened social bonds

Create a close-knit learning community with children you know and trust, fostering strong friendships and positive social interactions.

Convenience and flexibility

Say goodbye to rushed drop-offs and pick-ups. Choose a schedule that works best for your group, bringing high-quality early education right to your doorstep.

FAQ

How do you support children who are struggling with reading?

We specialize in working with struggling readers. Whether a child needs support catching up or has a diagnosed learning difference, we provide targeted, one-on-one instruction that meets them exactly where they are. We build skills and confidence by using explicit, supportive, and encouraging teaching methods.

What role do parents play in their child’s learning here?

We believe in strong partnerships with families. Parents receive regular updates, tips for home practice, and opportunities for check-ins. Whether through quick conversations, emails, or end-of-session conferences, we keep you informed and involved in your child’s progress.

What is your student-to-teacher ratio?

We offer private 1:1, partner and group sessions. Our literacy classes are intentionally small. Classes have a max of 4 children per teacher, allowing for meaningful interactions, personalized attention, and a strong sense of community.

Are classes in-person, online, or both?

We offer in person classes and tutoring in Manhattan and Westchester, but we also offer virtual tutoring and online options to support families near and far.

Do you work with children who have learning differences?

Yes! We proudly support children with learning differences, speech and language needs, ADHD, neurodivergent and dyslexia. Our educators are trained in strategies to support diverse learners and provide inclusive, nurturing instruction that helps every child succeed.

Do you offer tutoring in subjects other than reading?

Yes! In addition to literacy, we offer writing, math enrichment, executive function coaching, and school readiness programs. All are designed with the same thoughtful, personalized approach that makes Wise Owl unique.
